MACKENZIE, Philip George
February 26, 1918 – April 5, 2006
He was born in Canso, Nova Scotia and was predeceased by his parents, 6 siblings, first wife Chris, son Robert and grandson Paul. He is survived by his son Howard (Chris), grandchildren Theresa (Ed) and great-grandson Eric. He is also survived by Camilla, his wife for 49 years, son Roger (Ann), grandson Alexander and grand-daughter Katharine.
Phil’s enjoyments included his boat, “The Maritimer”, his dog “Sadie” and his treasured visits with his grandchildren. In the words of his grandson, Alexander (8), “We will love him for ever and ever”.
A small reception was held at the Nanoose Community Hall, where family and friends gathered to exchange memories of Phil, his wonderful sense of humour and his enjoyment of the simple things in life.
His family would like to thank the Arrowsmith Lodge and staff for their help and kindness in Phil’s last days.
