March 11,1916 - November 19, 2006Passed away peacefully at Qualicum Manor
Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, John Kivela in 1992. Also predeceased by her sister Margaret Rausch and her five brothers, Jack, Albert, Eddy, George and Harold Green. Left to cherish Phyllis’s memory are her daughter Donna (Don) Pointon, of Port Alberni and her son George (Bonnie) Kivela of Qualicum Beach. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren. Stephen (Joyce) Pointon, Cindy (Bruce) Heard of Port Alberni, Brian Pointon, Parksville, Kevin (Tara) Kivela, Parksville and Lene (Randy) Findlater of Vernon, and twelve great-grandchildren, all who were very dear to her heart. Phyllis is also survived by her sister-in-law, Hannah Green, of Nanaimo, as well as nieces and nephews. Phyllis was a daughter of Nanaimo and grew up in the south end. She dedicated her life to her family and will be fondly remembered as Grandma “K”. The family would like to thank the staff at Qualicum Manor for their compassionate care
