GIBSON, Ralph Budd
1931 - 2005
Ralph B. Gibson P.Eng. (Univ. of Sask. 1953) was born in Saskatoon July 7, 1931. He died peacefully at about 9 pm on April 26, 2005 at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria surrounded by his family. Ralph was predeceased by brothers Murray and Sheldon as well as a beloved son, Stuart. Lovingly remembered by his wife, Manon, his children Anne (Ashley), David (April), step-daughter Paola and grandchildren Carmen, Jessie, Rachael, Erica, Vincent and Ralph practiced in Edmonton and Vancouver and for 16 years as the Facilities Engineer at Canada Place, Vancouver from which he retired in Dec. 1999. In retirement in Parksville, B.C., Ralph participated in barbershop with the Nanaimo Tidesmen and will be remembered for his deep voice and a passion for music. His other passion was carpentry, a hobby
that he pursued from his youth and became useful while renovating their home in Parksville.
A Celebration of his life will be held at the Yates Funeral Service (1000 Allsbrook Rd., Parksville) on Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at 1:00 pm and a reception will follow
