VAUSE, Ralph

Ralph was born August 7, 1945 in Calgary, Alberta, the youngest of Haldane and Eileen Vause’s children. After high school, he served a 4-year apprenticeship and became a journeyman electrician. In 1980 Ralph and his family left Calgary and bought Bowser Bill’s Beach Resort on Vancouver Island with his wife Linda and Linda’s sister and brother-in-law, John and Leslie Leinweber. There he was an active Bowser Legion member. The family moved to Qualicum Beach in 1984 where he operated Bowser Electric.
Ralph was predeceased by his parents and survived by his son Allan (Carina) and their 3 children, Josh, Hannah and Emylia in Qualicum Beach; son Glen of North Vancouver and daughter Caroll (Trent) Buchanan and their 3 children, Mathew, Krysten and Nicholas of Courtenay, BC. He is also survived by 3 sisters, Lynn (Jim) Brown of Coombs, BC; Margaret Vause in Vancouver, BC and Francis May in Calgary, and by one brother Harold in Calgary, Alberta, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
