On Nov. 20th, in his 83rd year, Richard passed away peacefully with Patricia, his devoted wife, and Kim, loving daughter, at his side. He endured seven years with the indignity of dementia.
He leaves behind a loving family. Daughter, Vanessa, daughter Deb (Don) and grand-daughters Jaimee and Shannon, and son-in-law, John (Kim).
Being a Brit. born in India, he left at the time of the 1947 uprisings, and the next many years led him to long periods in New Zealand, England, Kenya and Lethbridge, AB. Canada.
He retired, with Patricia, to Qualicum Beach in 2000, and declared it the place he would most like to finish his days.
A Celebration of Life will be at Yates Funeral Chapel on Sunday, December 12th at 1:30 p.m.
