January 9, 1922 ~ July 3, 2009
We are saddened to announce the loss of our father, husband and friend Robert, who passed away peacefully on July 3, 2009 at Comox Hospital.
He was born January 9, 1922 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, along with his twin sister Ruby.
He is lovingly survived by his wife Irene of 65 years, daughters Maureen (Macleod) and Shari and son Ryan (Louise); grandchildren Dean, Cory, Holly and Whitney and one great grandchild Kristanna.
Bob and his family moved to Calgary, Alberta in 1955 and in 1990, retired to Qualicum Beach, B.C.
He is also survived by sisters Elizabeth Goodfellow of Red Deer and Mae Robertson of Tsawwassen.
He lived a very accomplished 87 years, and touched many lives through his friendliness and talents in carpentry, farming, ranching, and the ownership of his Massey Ferguson farm machinery dealerships in Alberta for 20 years.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to “The Church of the Ascension”, building fund in Parksville.
