It is with great sadness that we announce
the passing of Robert McFarlane Jr.
who departed peacefully surrounded by family on February 14, 2017.
“Mac” was a dedicated husband, loving father, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He was proud to be the patriarch of a large, blended and extensive family.
Mac is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joyce, and their seven children: Ron, Jessie, Bud (Robert), Patrice, Scott, Duncan and Matthew. “Poppy” had twelve grandchildren: Danny, Emily, Christine, Lisa, Janelle, Heather, James, Nadine, Alison, Ian, Meghan, and Brandon; and six great-grandchildren. Mac was a best friend to his sister-in-law, Mickey(Marilyn) and her husband,Roy.
“Uncle Bob” was a caring mentor to his niece MaryEllen, nephews Charles, Bobby, and Adam, and will be fondly remembered by his brother Leonard’s family. Many, many lives were touched and changed for the better by this extraordinary man.
Mac will be remembered with great affection for his wisdom, generosity, lessons and the love he shared with everyone. His heart and door were always open. We will carry him in our hearts as he makes his journey Home. Love always and forever.
