Roberta HOLMAN

July 11, 2010

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Roberta on July 11, 2010 at her home in Qualicum Beach, BC. She was born in Vancouver on December 29, 1927. Roberta is survived by her loving husband, Justus, her daughter Kathleen(Clark) Cook, and son Wayne (Elyse) as well as six grandchildren: Darren, Jason, Daniel, Adam, Michael, Rachel, Taylor and three great grandchildren: Carl, Julia, and Jax. Roberta is also survived by her brother Phil (Lorraine) Mason, her niece Pat (Bill) Galovich and her nephews Bill (Pat) Wallace and Bill (Kathy) Mason. Roberta is fondly remembered by numerous other relatives and close friends that have touched her heart. Roberta was an avid square dancer who danced in every little town from Arizona to Alaska. She loved to RV and tour the continent with her husband, especially in and near Arizona, tracking down the next twirl or mountain to climb. She rushed the Thompson River rapids, painted exquisite landscapes and still life’s, observed the natural world with passion, and was deeply devoted to Bible studies at St. Stephens Church. Roberta was always up for a challenge and even attained her Class 1 license so she could drive 18-wheelers with her husband!

If you would like to spend some time with the family, share a Roberta story or two, and say goodbye to this fine woman, please join us at her Memorial, August 25th 2010 at 2:00 pm at St. Stephen’s United Church, 150 Village Way, Qualicum Beach, BC Reverend Phil Spencer officiating. A reception in the Church hall will follow the Memorial. If youre thinking of flowers, instead please make a contribution in Roberta’s name to St. Stephen’s United Church.
