It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Ron Giles, at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on Friday, November 25, 2005 at 10:00 pm.
He leaves a loving family,
his wife of 57 years Joan; four sons Vincent, Graham, Steven (Jenny) and Clinton; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and his sister Pam in England.
Coming to Canada in 1948 Ron worked in the automotive field and was for many years service manager at Suburban Motors.
He retired to Qualicum Beach 19 years ago and made many more good friends. He liked fishing, though never caught the fifty pounder (he hopes one of his sons will), loved to play and watch soccer, kids, dogs and birds but especially liked his wife.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the Palliative Care Unit for their wonderful care and compassion. There will be no service.
Ron would be grateful if donations in his honour could be made to “Doctors without Borders” or the the SPCA
