Rosemary Olive Estey
Rosemary Olive Estey, born In Warnham, England on May 12, 1925,
passed away peacefully at Stanford Seniors Village on May 19, 2017.
Rosemary’s loving husband, Jim, predeceased her in July 2013.
Rosemary had been residing at the Stanford Seniors Village in Parksville, for the past four years, where she received exceptional care from a wonderful staff. She was an eager participant in so much of what they had to offer. She loved the exercise classes, was a beautiful knitter, showed a talent for painting lovely birdhouses and always enjoyed the musical presentations.
Rosemary was a loving Mother to her daughter, Margaret Robbins, in Toronto and a much loved Grandmother to Ben Kowalewicz (Rachelle) also in Toronto and Jason Kowalewicz (Bronwyn) in Innisfil Ontario, with her great grandchildren, Kaelyn, and Harrison, who was born on her 90th birthday.
Jim and Rosemary had enjoyed their life in Parksville since their retirement. Rosemary was an active member of the Parksville Seniors Club and had a wonderful close group of friends. She met regularly with several of her friends for swimming, both in the pool and in the ocean, and of course, coffee after! It is a testament to Rosemary’s special warm heart and caring nature that so many of her friends and family maintained a close and constant connection to her until her death.
We are so grateful for such a caring staff. They continued to watch over her until the end. Special thanks to Dr. L McClure and Dr. P Juralowicz.
