GAYTON, Ruth Elizabeth

February 18, 1933 to August 9, 2008
Ruth’s radiant personality and beautiful smile will be dearly missed by all. She is lovingly remembered by her sister Barbara (Peter), daughters Rebecca, Allison (Jan), Lauren (Niel), stepchildren Jane (Walter), David (Michelle) and Renée (Lawrence), grandchildren Maya, Mira, Aleshia and Nicholas, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her devoted husband John, parents Harry and Marion and brother Douglas.
Known for her love of music, gardening, reading and hiking, Ruth belonged to the Village Voices Choir, The Parksville Branch of the Taoist Tai Chi Society of Canada, the Probus Club of Qualicum Beach and participated in numerous community services and volunteer activities. We’re quite sure she’s happily deadheading roses in heaven now.
Please join our family for a Celebration of Ruth’s Life between 6:00 and 8:00 pm, Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Milner Gardens & Woodland, 2179 West Island Highway, Qualicum Beach, BC. Please bring a fond memory or a funny story to share.
