MORT, Ruth Mayford
It is with great sadness, the family
announces the passing of
Ruth Mayford Mort on Sept. 19,2007
Ruth was born to parents Claude & Janie Moore in Peace River, Alberta on October 20th, 1925. Ruth was predeceased by sister Doreen, husband Jack, children Sharon & Kenneth and grandson Daniel. She is ?survived by siblings, George (Donna), Bruce (Terri), Marge ?(Walter) & Ethel, and children Bev (Henri), Doug (Barb), Joyce, Kristine (Derrik), Karen (Mike), 10 grandchildren, 3 great grand children and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mom was a longtime resident of Nanoose Bay and worked as a waitress for many years. Mom was a hardworking, kind, loving woman who saw the best qualities in each person she met. Family and friends were most important to her, she always had a hug, a meal, or a laugh to share.
Mom battled Alzheimers disease and was a resident of Arranglen/Qualicum Gardens for the past 4 years. The Family thanks the amazing staff on the 3rd floor for the outstanding care they provided and for the extra hugs and kisses they gave Mom.
Rest in Peace Mom, we will always love
you and carry you in our heart.
A tea will be held at Nanoose Place, Saturday Sept. 29, 1:00 - 3:00 PM to celebrate her life.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimers Society or the Cancer Society
