HAY, Stanley Watt
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Stan at the Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria, on April 15, 2006.
He is remembered with much love and affection by Jean his wife of 57 years, son Roger (Shannon) and brother Ian and family and other family and friends. Stan had a distinguished career in the R.C.N. for many years, serving on 2 Aircraft Carriers during WWII, finally retiring to Victoria in the 1960’s.
His final retirement was to Qualicum Beach where he joined the Memorial Golf Club and enjoyed many years of happy golfing with his friends. He loved animals, particularly his little dog “Penny” , his buddy for many years.
We shall miss him. As they say in the Navy “ the old Chief has finally crossed over the river”
No service by request. Friends will be notified of a small graveside ceremony at a later date.
