Passed away April 8, 2006?in Qualicum Beach, BC

Born May 22, 1925 in Piney, Manitoba. An alumni of both Vancouver Tech and the University of British Columbia, Steph spent his working life with the departments of agriculture of both the provincial and federal governments.

Steph retired in 1986 as chief administrative officer of the Agriculture Canada Research Station in Lethbridge, Alberta. He and his wife Nancy returned to BC for their retirement and settled in Qualicum Beach where he had 19 wonderful years enjoying golf and his other pursuits.

He is survived by his wife Nancy; daughter Sandra (Brian), grandsons Andrew and Mathew; son Carl; sisters Anna, Mildred, and Katrin; brother Norman and many nephews and nieces.

In accordance with Steph’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will hold an Open House celebrating Steph’s life later this spring.

The family thanks Dr. S. Noble and all of the first responders of the Oceanside area for their kindness shown to Mom.
