It is with great sadness that we announce Stevie’s passing on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in the Hospice Unit at Trillium after a long battle with cancer. He was 61 years old.

Stevie will be greatly missed by his loving parents, Peter and Shirley McLellan; sisters, Cheryl (Craig) Peterson and Susan Davies (Bobby Cross); nephews, Danny (Nicole), Cheyne (April), Jamie (Ashley), Bryan (Rachel); great nieces and nephews that all adored their “Uncle Stevie”; as well as many extended family members and friends.

Born in Comox, BC, Stevie and has lived in Nanoose Bay since 1974. Growing up he loved to ride his motor bike, dig clams, split firewood, and mow and weed eat lawns for various neighbors. There wasn’t a day that went by that he wasn’t up at Red Gap Centre at night sitting on his favourite bench visiting with staff and chatting to the customers. Stevie was helpful and very kind hearted.

The family extend a heartfelt Thank You to Dr Caon of the BC Cancer Agency in Victoria for helping Stevie fight his long, difficult battle with cancer; to Dr Marlene van der Weyde and the nurses and support staff at the Trillium Lodge Hospice Unit whose love and great compassion helped ease Stevie’s final days. The loving care he received was amazing.

A Celebration of Life to honour Stevie will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 pm
