Sylvia Fuller

January 23, 2009

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that our family announces the passing of Sylvia, our beautiful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She passed away at Victoria Hospice on January 23 after a long struggle with COPD. Sylvia was predeceased by her son Christopher Jr., and her mother and father, Lil and Miles James. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Chris (of 57 years), sons Doug (Shirley), Derrick (Cindy), and daughter Tracee. She also leaves behind several grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as 4 sisters, 6 brothers, many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.

In her younger years Sylvia was an award winning singer, dancer and figure skater and talented flower arranger. She worked for many years at the Bay and Safeway before retiring to her oasis on “Fullers Mountain”. Sylvia created a beautiful garden at her home in Sooke where her ashes will be scattered. No words can express our sense of loss, but we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace, and her amazing spirit will live on in our hearts forever.

At Sylvia’s request, there will be no formal service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sooke

Hospice, or the Salvation Army in her memory.

”God I’m gonna miss you Pooky”
