Thelmas Olivia (Terri) Dawson

January 30, 2006

DAWSON, Thelma Olivia (Terri)

In the early hours of January 30th, 2006, at Parksville, British Columbia, the angels delivered Terri peacefully into the waiting arms of her beloved husband, Louis.

Terri, who was born and raised in the Montreal area, and for a time resided in Samia, Ontario, will be sadly missed by her four children, Linda Dawson of Qualicum Beach, BC, Evelyn Goshko of Nanoose Bay, BC, Glenn Dawson and Jane Hood of Samia, Ontario, along with her brother, Claire of Vancouver, BC and her eight loving grandchildren, Robert Dawson, Scott Dawson, Darren Dawson, Shaun Hood and Kelsey Hood, all of Sarnia, Ontario and Christopher Dawson, Dallin Brenton and Marcy Brenton, all of Nanoose Bay, BC., and numerous other family and friends who knew and loved her.

After leaving Ontario in 1974, Terri moved to the west coast and became an active participant in the community of Qualicum Beach, managing Touch of Class for many years, supporting the Senior’s centre and building her little Alpine home on 5th Ave.

“Death is like a ship sailing away from shore; While friends and loved ones wave goodbye, it gets smaller and smaller until it finally disappears over the horizon,Where it gets larger and larger for the friends and loved ones on the other shore who are waving hello.”

A private family service was held in Nanoose Bay, BC. Rest in peace, Mom – we’ll miss you.
