PROTASIEWICH, Theodore Brian July 6, 1939 - July 24, 2004 Born and raised in Cooks Creek and Winnipeg, Manitoba, Ted and his family moved to Vancouver Island in 1979. He is survived by his "very special friend" Rose Rayner, his brother Jim (Marie), daughters Tara, Tanya, sons Bryan (Debbie) and Brant, two grandchildren Brayden and Gracie, sister-in-law Linda Siddall, brothers-in-law Harry Sidddall, Don Forrest and several nieces, nephews and cousins. For years he was a sales representative in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba before buying, and operating a hotel, motel and campground. Ted was an active member of the Parksville/Qualicum, Port Alberni (past-president) "Gizeh Shriners". He was known for his sense of humour, attaching nicknames to people and places, and his generosity. He was the "best" and one of the finest bobcat/backhoe operators in the area. He loved fishing and spending time with his family.
