Tom was born in Vernon British Columbia in 1945. Son to Norman and Ruby Rennick, both deceased. Tom is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ingrid; daughter, Alexa Layton; son in law, Jared; four grandchildren, Ava Grace, Tana, Soren and Ivy, all of Calgary; sisters, Lucille (Lancaster) of Ottawa and (Maureen) Beaudreau of Edmonton.

Born into a military family, Tom had the opportunity to see a lot of our beautiful country. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Saskatchewan. Tom started his career with the Bank of Montreal. He remained a loyal employee of the Bank of Montreal until he retired to Parksville BC in 2002. There Tom and his wife, Ingrid found a second family in the Parksville Baptist Church. Tom took an active role in various programs at the church, especially his role as a centurion at the annual Bethlehem walk. Tom was actively involved in Kiwanis, golf, and his neighbourhood association. Tom was a hard working, kind-hearted, gentle and humble man. Those who knew him loved and respected him. Tom had a love for the Lord and a testimony of Jesus Christ as his Savior. He will be greatly missed but his legacy will live on through his family. You are homeward bound, we love you Papa!

A memorial service to celebrate Tom’s life will be held on Saturday March 13, 2010 at 1:00pm at Parksville Baptist Church 550 Pym Street Parksville, BC 250-248-6322
