HENRY


Born on November 8, 1922 in Calgary, Alberta died peacefully of old age in North Vancouver on November 11, 2010. Pre-deceased by his wife of 59 years Carol, he is survived by his son Greg (Nirmal Power), daughter Beth, son Gordon (Lise Magee), son Graham (Leanne Anderson), his sister Elma in Nanaimo and four grandchildren Chris, Georgia, Max and Jack. Vern married Carol on November 19, 1949. As a result of his work as a travelling salesman he traveled the West where he had friends in every town and was no stranger to the Mad Men lifestyle. He had worked with Fairbanks Morse and Homelite Chainsaws (Textron Industries). After retirement, he and Carol moved to Qualicum Beach, BC where he was involved for a number of years in the Newcomers group. The family would like to thank the staff at Sunrise of Lynn Valley and more recently the staff at Kiwanis Care Centre also in North Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer’s Society of BC.
