Sosath, William (Wilhelm)
May 5, 1924 - June 29, 2008
Bill brought the love of his life, his wit and his drive to succeed from Ontario to Qualicum Beach in 1980, to embark on a new chapter of “western adventure”. He and his wife Irene enjoyed a lengthy and wonderful retirement together, traveling to many parts of the world, enjoying the company of good friends and relatives everywhere they went. Bill always maintained a remarkable optimism and keen interest in the study of human nature, as well as an unparalleled determination to enjoy all that life had to offer. Thank you for your gentle wisdom, your insight and your patience. You were a loving husband, father, grandfather, a mentor, a role model.
Bill passed peacefully at home comforted by his wife, exactly where he wanted to be. He is survived by his loving wife Irene, daughter Ramona, grandchildren John and Irene jr., sisters Betty and Anneliese, and brother Gunther. The family would like to express their gratitude to the kind nurses of the VIHA Home & Community Care (Parksville Health Unit), Dr.s J & M Atherstone, and Dr. Price, who provided devoted care beyond their call of duty.
A private ceremony will be held for family to celebrate Bill’s life.
