On water woes

Your Nov. 23rd issue asks whether I would be prepared to spend more money for water. This is grossly irresponsible.

The correct question should be would you be prepared to spend money on finding ways to use less water. Nobody, rich or richer has the right to waste such a precious resource for the edification of their front lawn.

Area councils should find ways to save water, even if it is at the expense of the taxpayer.

I for one want to leave a stable source of potable water for my grandchildren.

I think you would find that is true of most residents.
