It would sure be nice for the residents of Qualicum Beach if we had a bus available that ended up with a series of stops on 19A heading up-Island (directions are confusing around here).
I think a good number of people would love to stroll the beach on a warm afternoon, especially based on the fact it’s so close.
Not to mention the reduction of traffic in the beach area.
Walking to the beach currently has two options: Memorial Drive, with a steep return up; or find a way around the golf course. Good luck on both options, after a few climbs or lengthy detours.
If the town was to make arrangements with BC Transit, my wife and I would be first in line for a bus pass.
