Twenty five minutes is not a lot of time to get to a major hospital and with care from well trained paramedics, most of us will survive.
I for one do not agree to building a hospital in the area. For starters, where will the extra doctors come from? They are overworked as it is, due to the shortage of them.
My suggestion would be to build a swimming pool in Parksville.
It would encourage people to get exercise, and feel energized afterwards, improving their health and keeping them our of the doctor’s surgery.
I say, out with the hospital and in with the swimming pool.
