Refreshing point of view

How refreshing to read John Harding’s editorial (Ready to Run?, Tuesday, Nov. 27).

Far too often we, the general public and the media, are so very adept at criticizing every move that our mayors, councillors, MLAs and MPs make.

I appreciate Harding’s recognition that these folks who serve do try to balance long hours, lots of travel and multiple demands on their time and often pull down 60 hours a week.

The demands on their time are many, some of great importance, many mundane. It’s nice once in a while if we can say ‘thanks for what you do.’
