Still a democracy?
We just heard the word on the streets. Christy Clark ain’t happy.
She’s had the Hydro boys in for a little talk. She gave them one more year to finish the Smart Meter job and that’s it.
If them 140,000 or so holdouts ain’t been made to see the light by then, it’s lights out.
Figuratively speaking of course. Cause it’s gonna get done, right?
So, the contract says the boys can go on any land they want to and set up these meters without permission of the owners, other than a private dwelling?
Fugedddabowdit! They got ways now of making them cave, especially the old and sick ones, and the ones living alone or at work all day.
That because the Hydro boys got orders now to barge past the “No trespass” signs and tear the cages right off them meters. Any complaints from the people inside, and they get a little “visit.”
Then, in no time flat, bam, the troublemakers got themselves a shiny little government transmitter ticking away on their house.
Hey, we even heard the cops are gonna look the other way.
Nah. Probably just a rumour, because you know, we’re still a democracy, right?
