No trash cash
The coin-operated garbage bin idea, as discussed in a recent NEWS article by Neil Horner, is a little over optimistic I think.
I’d bet that a lot of people, with bag in hand, will just leave it on the ground, or worse in the woods, if they see that it’ll take $2 to put it in the bin.
The idea that an apartment building can turn its disposal problem into a money maker — forget it. Trash to cash, as suggested, won’t happen if the public is involved.
