Parksville and District Association for Community Living thanks

On behalf of the board of directors, management, staff and participants of the Parksville and District Association for Community Living (PDACL), we would like to express our sincere gratitude for all of your assistance in making our Art Auction fundraiser such a huge success. As a result of your generosity, several participants enjoyed the Self Advocates Workshop held on Nov. 23.

PDACL has been providing services to adults with multiple physical and developmental disabilities in the Parksville area for over 50 years. Individuals participate in a variety of community based activities that meet their needs, interests, and skills. Individuals also participate in areas of employment preparation and job placement, recreation and leisure activities, interpersonal relationship development, and volunteer opportunities in the community.

Our mission is to promote the rights of all individuals to full inclusion in partnership with our community. Our vision is to be a community where all people with disabilities have equal opportunities to lead active fulfilling lives and are recognized as contributing members of the community.

As a not-for-profit society, we rely on the support of community partners and donations such as this one to help us meet our financial goals and provide the highest possible quality of care and service to our participants. Thank you once again for helping us to meet our goal.

Barb Read, executive director, PDACL
