Tax-cutting games

School closures due to shrinking enrollments are not new, but the outcomes are rarely better-educated students.

Consider that small one or two-room rural schools initiated the educations of John Kenneth Galbraith, Frederick Banting, Nobel Laureate Robert Mundell and John Diefenbaker, whereas large urban schools produced Rob Ford, Mike Harris, Stephen Harper — and me.

Just something to think about when making children the pawns in tax-cutting games.
