Supportive housing is too close for comfort

Many Parksville taxpayers agree we prefer the upcoming Berwick retirement village for our area over the proposed supportive housing centre for homeless people.

Many Parksville taxpayers agree we prefer the upcoming Berwick retirement village for our area over the proposed supportive housing centre for homeless people.

Berwick will accommodate the elderly folks, but I don’t think they would want their neighbours to be drug users trying to reform.

These two projects are not compatible, and are too close for comfort.

I live on Corfield Street, one half-block away. I have loved this location for many years, but will move if the homeless shelter and housing is there.
