The Bravehearts battled hard but the Titans were on top of their game Saturday in U13 Boys soccer action, as Oceanside rolled to a 6-1 win to remain unbeaten and tighten their grip on top spot in the standings.

Played out at Arrowview field, the Titans led 3-1 at the half and never looked back.

“They’re the second place team, so it was a good result for us,” Oceanside coach Dave Reynolds said after, adding, “the boys are playing well. It was it was easily our best game of the year. They moved the ball around, and they played unselfish soccer.”

Daniel Doukakis paced the Titans with three goals, Raul Canto scored twice, and Quinn Middleton rounded out the scoring.

Oceanside keeper Bradley Bater “had another solid game,” and also earning props for his play at centre mid was Aaron Paetkau who set up four goals.

“All the D played very well — just a really good team effort,” said Reynolds. The Titans pencil in a number of players that also suit up for Oceanside’s development team.

The win ups the Titans’ NYSS league record to 11-0-2 and has them firmly in first in the seven team house league with four games remaining.

GAME ON

The Titans take on the Dynamite in an all-Oceanside match back at Arrowview on Saturday at 1 p.m.
