Oceanside United move to a perfect 6-0 record

Oceanside’s ladies of soccer resumed their run at another Island title with a 6-1 lambasting of the Legends in Courtenay last Sunday.

All Oceanside United from the opening whistle, Angelina Gastaldello led the charge with a hat trick, Sue Maltby struck for two goals and Aundrea England added the single.

The win lifts OU to a perfect 6-0 in the Provincial Cup Island playdowns and tightens their grip on top spot in the 10-team league with 18 points  — three points up on second place Nanaimo (5-1) and six up on the Legends who are sitting third at 4-3.

Oceanside United is gunning for its 3rd straight Island title and third consecutive berth in the B.C.s.

OU is in action Sunday in Comox to take on the last place (0-5) Shooters.
