The world of figure skating took centre stage in a big way at Oceanside Place over the weekend as over 500 skaters aged 4-18 from some 40 Island and coastal clubs turned out for the first of six Pond to Podium figure skating competitions slated for B.C.

Sandy Shores Skating Club had 29 skaters in the mix.
