Flying disc fun at hand
Local ultimate frisbee player Diana Jolly has issued a call to arms.
“I’m trying to organize some pick-up games of ultimate here in Parksville, and it would be great to get the word out. I have fields booked at Ballenas on Wednesday evenings starting at 6 p.m.,” she said, adding, “this is for adults or teens and no need to have played before.”
The ultimate Wednesday evening drop-ins started last week, and will run every week through the summer, and it is “highly recommended that participants wear cleats.”
Jolly and her husband William Clyde, who have been playing ultimate for 10 years now, are also hoping to enter a team in of beginners and intermediate players in a tournament in Nanaimo in April, “and I will be organizing my fun tournament on June 23rd again this year at the Parksville Community Park.”
For more information call Diana at 250-248-4660 or email dijolly@gmail.com.
