Ultimate frisbee means ultimate fun
The sport of ultimate was up and running (and jumping and diving) at Parksville Community Park last Sunday as 70 people from across the Island turned out for the sixth annual Hat Tournament.
The fun Frisbee fix featured a mix of players from Victoria, Cowichan, Nanaimo, Oceanside, Courtenay and Cortes.
“We’ve been coming out for years — it’s always a good time,” Oceanside Tourism’s Karyn Doerksen smiled from the sidelines.
ULTIMATE WEDNESDAY’S — A reminder the Wednesday night drop in behind Ballenas Secondary School is going strong “and beginners are welcome.” The action gets underway at 6 p.m. — for more information check out the Parksville Ultimate Facebook page.
