Barrel Racing

Another successful Island Barrel Racing event was back up and running at the Coombs Rodeo Grounds last weekend, July 14 and 15 amid the nice hot, dry summer weather. Some 15 riders and their horses raced the clock. They are next at the Coombs Rodeo Grounds August 11 and 12 for the Island Barrel Racing qualifier, followed by the finals there September 1 to 3.  - James Clarke
