Qualicum Beach team wins in Parksville
Parksville Lawn Bowling Club was a busy place recently, as teams from up and down the Island turned out for the clubs annual Men’s and Ladies Triples Open tournament earlier this month.
The Qualicum Beach team of Maureen Hanright, Kaye MacIntyre and Liz Pendleton emerged as the winners of the women’s A division, and on the men’s side of the draw it was Vern Greenhill, Rick Quibell and Archie Harris from Courtenay taking top honours while Parksville’s Art Ferguson, Gil Simpson and Wayne Edwards carved out second.
