The Novice Team from the Qualicum Beach and District Curling Club recently won the gold medal at the Campbell River Junior Bonspiel.

The team, made up of Grade 5 students from the Parksville Qualicum Beach area, had a great event. Skip Jackson Nowack is in his second year as a curler, while his teammates Isaac Brightland (third), Keira Holman (second) and Brooke Henson (lead) are all in their first years as curlers.
