The Oceanside Minor Hockey Atom Men in Black, played a game and watched the Ottawa Senators beat the Canucks 4-2 in the Tim Horton’s Heritage Classic at B.C. Place Stadium.

The Men in Black had won among 1,500 entries to play on the Canucks home ice in Rogers Arena against fellow winners, the Kamloops Spitfire.

“It was great,” parent Daryl Cain said. “The folks at Rogers Arena treated the kids like they were an NHL team. They did play by play, showed some slow motion replays on the big screen, it was fantastic.”

The M.I.B. beat the Spitfires 8–2, but for the kids and parents, this “once in a lifetime event was what it was all about.”
