Oceanside Hospice kicked off Hospice and Palliative Care Month across Canada with their Hike for Hospice on Sunday, May 4.

The groups set out on the 5K trek from Valhalla House in Qualicum Beach after a great send off from the Marimba Boogie Band. The groups headed through the Brown Property trails and down to the beach on Judges Row, then back up Memorial Avenue, along West Crescent and back to Valhalla.

The hike helps raise funds and awareness for the Oceanside Hospice Society.

On August 9, Oceanside Hospice will be holding it’s 14th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, at the Eaglecrest Golf Course. There will be a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start, prime rib dinner and silent and live auctions with amazing items. Be sure to sign up early, as spots for the tournament will be filled quickly.
