Mount Washington to host slalom races

More than 125 age-group skiers expected for April 1-2 competition

Photo submitted by Mount Washington Mount Washington Ski Resort will host a series of youth slalom races for skiers 16-under April 1-2.

The Mount Washington Ski Club invites you to come on out and watch some amazing young Olympians in training as they host the Teck Coast U12/U14/U16 Kinder Series dual slalom and slalom races at Mount Washington April 1-2. All events will be held within viewing range of the lodge on Whiskey Jack.

Saturday, April 1 will feature the dual panel knockout slalom, a fun and exciting knockout event where athletes race against one another and the winner moves on up the ladder.

The following day will be highlighted by the traditional, timed slalom race.

This is a spectator event to watch whether you ski or not as the Mount Washington Ski Club will host more than 125 age-group athletes from Whistler, Grouse, Seymour, Cypress, Manning Park and Hemlock.
