Council has no complaints about proposed change to sign

Council has no complaints about proposed change to sign

Parksville city council supported the initial step for a variance for an automated LED sign for Paradise Sea-Side Resort.

The existing oversize sign is grandfathered in and council supported sending the item to their regular meeting with little discussion at the committee of the whole meeting.

The new sign would fit within the existing frame with a digital display replacing the manually changeable letters.

The sign will automatically dim to match the light conditions, change 10 times a minute and be turned off at 11 p.m.

Neighbours will be notified with the chance to make written comments to council.
