Qualicum Beach Chamber of Commerce holds ‘takeout challenge’ to support restaurants

Contest will run until the end of May

The Qualicum Beach Chamber of Commerce has launched a ‘takeout challenge’ as a way of supporting local restaurants.

With provincial health authorities ordering restaurants in British Columbia to stop indoor dining due to rising cases of COVID-19, the chamber is challenging residents to take part in the contest that started April 28 and will run until the end of May.

You can win Qualicum Beach Bucks with grand prize of $500 and also five $100 prizes that you can spend at participating local businesses in Qualicum Beach.

The rules are simple. Print out an entry form which you can get online at https://qualicum.bc.ca/ Complete five squares on your entry card by visiting a patio or take out from any of the participating restaurants on your card. Attache the receipts to the entry form and drop them off at participating restaurants, the Qualicum Beach Visitor Centre or in the entry mail slot at the Town of Qualicum Beach office.

The prizes will be drawn and winners announced on June 4.
