100 Men of Oceanside donate $10,000 to Parkinson’s Society of BC

Group looking for new members in Parksville, Qualicum Beach and Nanoose Bay

The 100 Men of Oceanside organization has donated $10,000 to the Parkinson Society of BC (Parksville).

John O’Brien presented a cheque to Andrew Brown of the local chapter, to support the work the society does to assist people in the community affected by Parkinson’s Disease, according to a news release.

The group meets once per quarter to choose a charity to contribute to.

100 Men of Oceanside is actively looking to add to members and said any man, living in Parksville, Qualicum Beach or Nanoose Bay interested in joining can fill out a membership application form on its website or email info@100oceansidemen.ca.

Members’ individual quarterly $100 donations ($400 each per year) will receive federal tax receipts and all the donations are made to charitable groups operating in the Parksville Qualicum Beach area.
