Oceanside Hospice Society is a non-profit charity that focuses on patient comfort and quality of life during the patients' final months and days. Its services are offered free of charge to those in the communities of Parksville, Qualicum Beach, Nanoose, Deep Bay, Bowser, Qualicum Bay, Errington, Coombs, Hilliers and Whiskey Creek.

Since its foundation, the 100 Women Oceanside group has donated more than $700,000 to charities in the Parksville Qualicum Beach area.

The members meet four times a year to nominate and vote on worthy charities. Each member writes a cheque to the charity for $100, which translates into $10,000 or more.
