The Parksville Senior’s Activity and Drop-in Centre has received a sizable donation of $28,500 from 100+ Women Who Care Oceanside.
The centre’s volunteers were pleased to receive the donation from the group, which presented a giant replica of the cheque on May 5.
Located on 144 Middleton Ave. in downtown Parksville, the centre offers seniors 55 and up a friendly, warm and safe place to get together with friends or to meet and make new friends. They can engage in games and recreational activities that will assis the seniors to enhance their physical, mental and emotional well-being.
The activities provided at the centre include: exercise classes, beginners line dance and line dance, yoga, choir, bingo, scrabble, tile rummy, darts and shuffleboard.

The seniors drop-in and activity centre is open from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
