Four more donations have been made to Parksville Qualicum Beach organizations through the Rotary Club of Parksville's weekly bottle drop at Speedy Glass.
The latest donations include $6,800 to the Society of Organized Services, funding to help offset grocery costs for SOS children's programming, allowing for the provision of healthy, nutritious food; $1,500 to the Oceanside Family Program, supporting families in the Oceanside area through food assistance and supplies for babies; $1,000 to the Tumaini Fund, funds to purchase treadle sewing machines for a tailoring course in Tanzania, enabling students to start their own businesses so they can support themselves and their families; and $1,000 to Quilts For Babies, funding to purchase materials to make quilts for the Preemie Quilt Program at Nanaimo General Hospital.
