Earth Day celebrations will take place again this year at the town square in Qualicum Beach.
In a letter to council, Western Canada Wilderness Committee spokesperson Annette Tanner asked for permission to hold the 11th annual event on Saturday, April 16, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event, she said, will consist of displays, music and a cake cutting at noon.
Councillors agreed to the request and agreed to provide tables and chairs for the event.
