May is Adoption Awareness Month at the SPCA and oganizers want to make sure people know there are thousands of wonderful animals up for adoption in B.C.
Unfortunately, says BC SPCA spokesperson Lie Chortyk, a very small percentage of the animals adopted come from shelters.
The SPCA rescues more than 32,000 animals every year, each one of which needs to find a good home. Call the local shelter for more information about how to adopt
