Artist Richard Alm donates $4,200 to McMillan Arts Centre in Parksville

Donation amount amassed from 100 per cent of all sale proceeds

From the proceeds of his June art show, artist Richard Alm presented a $4,200 cheque to the McMillan Arts Centre in Parksville.

From his show, Alm sold eight pieces and donated 100 per cent of the proceeds to the MAC in support of its people and programs.

Initially, his show had been planned for 2020, but was pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It was one of those last-minute changes to something that Jen and I organized a year ago. And all of a sudden COVID came around. So I thought, why not just give everything I would’ve made back to the MAC?”
